Vintage Sankei Japan Tin Battery Operated Rocket Control Center

A very scarce space toy that does not come along oten.

The space platform contains a grey conveyor belt with plastic Rockets and tin Moon Rocket Space Ships. Place one of the two magnetic rockets on the platform and the action starts.

Your mission is to pilot the space ship through the rocket and flying saucer traffic with a wheel that moves the rocket from side to side. If the rocket hits one of the approaching space crafts, it drops contact with the magnetic switch and the belt stops. Space scenes on the base radar screen periodically illuminate. The two radar dishes are friction driven and periodically rotate. The toy works perfectly.

Made in Japan for Sankei and circa the 1950's - 1960's. The lithography is nothing short of beautiful. In very good condition with a small spot or two with minor crazing. The box is fair/good with neatly repaired tears, with wondeful artwork.

This is the first example we have seen with both original rockets, and the instruction sheet.
