Vintage Japan Fluttering Bird

About 4 inches long and old stock. Constructed of wood and feathers, the action is remarkable! When hung by the spring the wings gently flutter as the bird moves. How this delicate toy survived since the 1950's is a miracle!

It comes with an amazing history. These were from the stock of a traveling carnival game trailer which toured America in the mid 1940s to late 1950s. They were found with other vintage new old-stock prizes in the trailer at a junk yard. The trailer was painted with the wording “Obert Miller Amusements, Greatest Games Of The Midway”. Mr. Miller was early co-founder of what became Carson & Barnes Circus.
