Vintage Kokyu Shokai Japan Tin Sputnik Flying Saucer

An incredible find, this 7 inch diameter was made in Japan by K - Kokyu Shokai -  and is circa the 1950's.

Featuring the satellite that shocked the world - Sputnik - it appears to be unplayed with.

Placing the saucer on top of the tin launch handle and pulling the string would send the satellite soaring with a whistling sound.

The box has a few reapired tears - the litho remains bright with the best box art we have seen in years.
